For Sale: 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T in Castle Rock, Colorado

Vehicle Description

Recently completed rotisserie restoration with less than 300 miles on the odometer of this 1970 Dodge Challenger RT convertible. The engine is the original numbers matching (see block photo) super strong 383ci 335HP 4BBL 8 CYL coupled to the equally reliable the 727 3 speed automatic transmission.

This engine was rebuilt by Haberk's Auto-Diesel Machine in Amsterdam, NY. Haberk's is known for their knowledge and experience with Mopar engines. This rebuild included magnetic inspection of the block, crank and heads. The block was bored .030 over and forged pistons were installed. The camshaft is a COMP Cams 21-220-4 Xtreme Energy Hydraulic Camshaft. This cam produces very strong torque, excellent mileage while retaining a smooth idle.

The restoration and mechanical work were completed by Painted Dreams in Elizabeth, Colorado (http://painteddrms.co) Painted Dreams completed several restorations on my friend's American Motors AMXs and Javelins. This shop also restored a 1966 Bronco for my wife and the work on those American Motors cars and that Bronco convinced me they were the best shop to work with on this extremely rare Dodge Challenger.

The VIN is JS27N0B10625. I have attached an image of the E -Bodies Fender Tag Decoder Report that shows this car is just what I have described here. Only a tiny scrap of the broadcast sheet was found in the car (see the attached photo).

This Challenger is in its original beautiful Sublime exterior color with black seats and black carpeted interior. It is equipped with the “Rallye” instrument cluster that contains four large equal sized pods with a 150-mph speedometer, 8,000 rpm tachometer, analog clock and one pod containing four gauges for oil pressure, alternator, engine temperature and fuel. The interior on this car is immaculate as evidenced in the photos.
This restoration project took this car back to original in all aspects (except the floor mats ;-). All receipts of the restoration and engine rebuild are available as well as many photos attached here.
