Winter isn't the best time to sell a convertible, but folks looking for their 2020 ride should take a look at this one. This solid, sharp little car is set up with a vintage Paxton Supercharger. Previous owner found an NOS (new, old stock) Paxton unit and sent it in to the company that bought Paxton to have the internals updated. He then hired a hot rod shop to set the car up to the best specifications for using this unit. The 102hp 4 speed has a Flaming River steering box, heavy duty clutch, custom steering wheel and period correct aftermarket head rests. Brand new extractor exhaust installed. Interior seat vinyl is in excellent condition, Clarks Corvairs custom cup holder/console. RetoSound 'Hermosa' stereo installed along with many other new or restored parts. All systems work as they should, glass and brightwork are in good condition too. Tires and shocks were brand new in 2019 and the stock wire caps set the car off very nicely. The convertible top is in good condition, tight without leaks.
An unusual, rare car with this setup. The car runs out smoothly, no overheating or stalling. Have taken it on several longer drives with no issues. It is not a project car but one you can enjoy right away. It is a mechanically period correct oddity that is great to cruise easy in as well as punch it for some excitement from time to time. You won't easily find another like this.
