Purchased in Germany (See European lights) and later privately imported by military officer. Purchased in the early 80's by Wagonmaster Friend and Grand Wagoneer owner, the Hon. Ed Burke, Sr. Esquire of Sag Harbor, NY, the car underwent a complete nut and bolt restoration, including paint and interior, by Westhampton Coachworks, between 2002-2004, records indicate over $37,500 spent. Garage-kept and sparingly driven since, the odometer's 38,000 miles are believed to be true, original miles. Inline 6 cylinder engine and fuel injected, the system was rebuilt in 2017 and over $5,000 spent on the engine renewal at that time. In Dad's garage, he marvels at the engineering of the day, "Such timeless beauty, no one was even close back then".
