Vehicle Description
This 1978 Ford F150 Short-Box Ranger XLT is a pretty cool little
truck. We do not have a lot of history on it and we took it in on
trade. According to the last owner this was a western truck and
very original except for a repaint in Cayman Green, some mechanical
restoration work (no receipts), and some interior work done. This
is a selectively frame on restored truck that would make a great
looking and driving truck for someone. The body is very nice and
the repaint looks great!! It is an XLT with the XLT Trim and they
also added the lower trim that came on some of the older Fords. The
underside was also sprayed to give it a clean look. The interior is
also very nice and with newer dash, bezel, carpet, headliner, and
seat recovered. The lights, blinkers, gauges, and wipers are
working.
The engine is a 351M V8 and it is believed to be the original. We
do not have much info on the drivetrain, but the truck runs
excellent and the engine runs strong and holds good oil pressure,
Pretty stock and unmolested engine. This truck has Power Steering,
Power Front Disc Brakes, and AC (needs to be serviced).
Transmission is a 4 Speed manual (NP435) mated to the NP205
Transfer Case. Axles have 3.50 Gears. This is a great running and
driving truck and we really enjoyed driving it around.
