In 1997, when Hennessy Performance got ahold of the Viper GTS, they wasted no time
cranking up the HP to 500, adding stainless pipes and headers, and brand new ignition
mapping for high-end performance. That all translates to a 3.6 second 0 - 60 time,
thanks to a six-speed Tremec manual gearbox and a near perfect weight distribution.

This lovely Red Venom 500 has been driven just 24,500 miles from new, and it shows,
with lovely paint finishes and factory panel gaps throughout. Inside, the leather buckets
feature Simpson Racing belts, and the clean cockpit simply begs the driver to step on
the gas. One of the fastest cars of the era, this Viper Hennessey is sure to be the
highlight of any sports car collection.
