is believed to be the original 272 cubic inch V8 motor mated to a

be all original. It comes to us out of a private collection where
it has resided for the past 36 years. As such, the vehicle has been
properly maintained and stored. Recent maintenance on the
Customline includes a new dual exhaust, new aluminum radiator, new
water pump, new heater core, new fuel pump, new brakes, new wheel
cylinders as well as new wheels and tire. The vehicle will also

The 1955 Customline was redesigned with a new longer, lower and
wider body. It continued as the mid range trim level, now
positioned below the new Ford Fairlane and above the Ford Mainline.
It was offered in 2-door sedan and 4-door sedan body styles only,
with the wagons now included in their own series which comprised
the Ford Ranch Wagon, Ford Country Sedan and Ford Country Squire.
Customlines were available with 223 cubic inches inline
six-cylinder or 272 cubic inches V8 engines. 1955 Customline
production totaled 471,992 units.
