For Sale: 1991 Mazda RX-7 in BEDFORD, Ohio

Car and Driver magazine placed the RX-7 on its Ten Best list five times, and it’s easy to see why.  The sleek convertible was introduced in 1988 with such features as a newly aspirated Wankel rotary engine and a precisely engineered assembly that dropped as a complete unit into the body assembly (the first time ever in convertible production).

1991 was the last production year for the Mazda RX-7, and this gem went out in style.  The 160 hp twin rotary engine provided smooth power delivery, and the 5-speed manual transmission offered control as well as a fun driving experience.  

This historical timepiece is totally original in many ways:

• It is a one-owner car.
• It was never driven in the winter.
• It has resided in a climate-controlled environment its entire life.
• There’s no rust anywhere. (The owner had the car undercoated when new, as every car was prone to rust in the ‘90s. Quote obviously, this car was not exposed to the elements.)
• The spare tire has never touched the ground or, in fact, ever left the well.
• The trunk floor looks new and has no signs of ever being wet or damp.

Options for this RX-7 include a 5-speed manual transmission, air conditioning, cruise control, Pioneer AM/FM radio with a cassette player and speakers in each headrest.  The top boot has never been on the car, and the seat bolsters are still in excellent condition, since the seats were covered. Even better, the car has never been smoked in, and it comes with a full set of Michelin tires.

A copy of the original title is included in the photos. Look closely at the pictures, and you’ll see that there is absolutely no wear anyplace on the vehicle.

After enjoying this gem for nearly 30 years, the owner has decided to pass it on to a new owner who will hopefully care for it just as well. This all-original Mazda is excellent in every way and will not disappoint.
