Vehicle Description
Worldwide Vintage Autos is pleased to present this 1973 Ford
Econline
HISTORY
"Starting 1973, Pathfinder Equipment Company converted select new,
un-registered vehicles, and they sold the conversion to an
Authorized Factory Dealer. No DIY kits were sold. They did not sell
direct to the public. All the initial 1973 4x4 vans were sold
through City Ford in Los Angeles, CA. This is the dealership the
Quadravan (Q-van) was 'born' in. A van would be shipped to
Pathfinder, converted and go back into the factory-freight system
for shipment to the dealer. The first 10 Quadravans built were
1973's. After those 10, production moved to San Gabriel, the DOT
converter's status was obtained, and availability was offered to
any Ford Dealer. As it has been reported, this coincided with the
1974 Model year. Therefore, only ten 1973 Quads were built."
