This Mercedes Benz 1966 230S is a very special vehicle. This handsome Fintail W111 model sedan represents the last model of this iconic body style. The Orient Red paint is all original and the odometer shows 52,870 miles (believed to be original). Before my purchase in 2015 this car saw many years of summer use on Lake Michigan. The car starts easily with no smoke, idles smoothly and drives like a 50kmi car. The Hankook tires have less than 2000 miles on them and were new in 2015. Steering, brakes, tires and suspension are in good working order. Carbs were recently rebuilt and fuel system cleaned and engine tuned. The shifter linkage and bushing were rebuilt providing smooth “like new” shifting. Interior is in very good condition with minor wear of floor mat on drivers side. Trunk is immaculate and huge. This car is the epitome of a Mercedes saloon, driving smooth and graceful. This W111 model has many Mercedes “firsts” in safety and design innovation which are now common 53 years later.
