Vehicle Description
This 1953 Dodge Power Wagon 4-wheel-drive pickup was originally
purchased by the Cascade County Road Department in Great Falls, MT.
The restoration was a total frame-off rotisserie build for this
matching-numbers Power Wagon. It is powered by the original,
restored 230ci inline 6-cylinder engine with 2-speed transfer case
located behind a 4-speed manual transmission. Power take-off
operates the front-mounted date-correct 7,500-pound winch that has
100 feet of 7/16" galvanized cable. It is complete with many of the
upgrade options available at the time, including a Dodge heater,
turn lights and armrests. All wiring is new, as well as the brake
and fuel lines. It rides on its original split wheels with a
correct spare tire. The body has been professionally painted in
gloss black with a mirror-like finish. The interior is standard
Power Wagon fare with the correct fiber-board headliner, original
gauges, instruction plates and metal floor; however, the bench seat
has been upgraded to a two-tone look. Custom rubber mats were also
cut to fit the uniquely shaped floors of the Power Wagon. The bed
is paneled with new custom red oak milled specifically for this
build.
