For Sale: 1975 Chevrolet Corvette in Lavergne, Tennessee

Vehicle Description

You can have a lot of fun and get a lot of speed for not a lot of cash when you open yourself up to cars like this 1975 Chevrolet Corvette. Not a trailer queen you'll be scared to drive, just a slick fiberglass 2-seater with a rumbling V8 and a high-impact color combination to amp up the fun factor.

Finished in a color that's a cool bright green and possibly a little lighter than the original code 42 (also called Bright Green) 1975 color, there's no denying the appeal of the C3 bodywork. Everybody, car person or not, can instantly identify a Corvette like this, and they remain an icon of performance, even forty years later. The fiberglass is in good shape and the repaint was done a few years ago, so while it's been driven, you'll be proud to be seen in it. The '75 model is a favorite among C3 fans, too, thanks to its combination of the urethane front and rear bumpers and original flying buttress C-pillars, which create a unique look. On this '75, you also get T-tops, so it's pretty close to the convertible experience with the ability to button everything up tight. Up front, the urethan nose cone is in good shape, while out back there's a handy stainless steel luggage rack that looks great and adds some very welcome practicality.

Experts will note that the code 19 interior has been very well-preserved, starting with a pair of black bucket seats that are very comfortable and supportive. With the rest of the interior being original black as well, the contrast against the bright green works rather well and tones things down just enough. It's not perfect inside and options are a bit sparse, and the entertainment system has been upgraded to an AM/FM/CD stereo head unit in the original slot. The factory gauges are in great shape with big, bold markings and useful accessories like a tilt wheel and floor mats make it a pleasure to drive. You'll note that the loud paint extends into the door jambs, so this was likely a full disassembly job, and with much of the interior being original, there's no much doubt that this car led an easy life.

The 350 cubic inch L48 V8 under the hood is indeed this Corvette's numbers-matching block, and it cranks with ease and runs very well. Bright chrome valve covers and a mesh air cleaner work atop the block and makes it look like a traditional Corvette with just a few add-ons and the engine bay shows signs of maintenance throughout. It's backed by a TH400 3-speed automatic, which was a good idea in the Corvette and a set of original ram's horn headers feed a newer dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers in back. The rest remains fairly stock and in good condition, and with the Corvette's specifications, you don't really need major modifications to have a great time in this car. A fully independent suspension and 4-wheel disc brakes were all standard equipment, so feel free to go out and have some fun. Factory Rally wheels have bright centers and polished trim rings for a traditional look that always works, and they carry 225/70/15 Stinger GTS white-letter radials all around.

This is a handsome, affordable, fun Corvette that isn't trying too hard, which is kind of refreshing today. If you've been thinking a Corvette might be the right car for you, this is a great way to find out. Call today!
