Vehicle Description
This custom 1958 Impala 2-door sport coupe was originally built in
Oakland, CA, and was garaged, undriven, from 1978 to 2014, when it
underwent a professional full frame-off restoration. The goal of
the restoration was to maintain the original look of the car and to
reuse as many of the original parts as possible, while adding
technology and options not available in 1958. All the original
chrome has been rechromed. The General Motors Connect & Cruise
drivetrain features an LS3 6.2-liter Gen IV small-block V8 engine
and a TREMEC T56 Super Magnum 6-speed manual transmission with a
26-spline input shaft and 31-spline output shaft. The exhaust
system features custom fabricated 3" stainless-steel piping with a
polished stainless-steel muffler. Fuel is supplies by a direct-fit
stainless-steel gas tank with a 60psi fuel pump. The Revo Stage III
chassis with rack & pinion steering includes Wilwood forged
spindles, adjustable front AFCO coilovers, triangulated 4-bar rear
suspension with non-adjustable rear AFCO Pro-Touring coilovers,
Ford 9" rear housing serviceable control arm bushings, 4-bar end
links, custom brake lines and rear 3.50-4.11 gear ratio with
Truetrac posi-traction. Stopping power for the 18" Foose Nitrous
wheels wrapped in Goodyear R Eagle tires is provided by 6-piston
Wilwood front brakes with 14" rotors and 4-piston rear Wilwood
brakes with 13" rotors. Interior options include 1964 Buick Wildcat
front 6-way power heated bucket seats with lumbar support, 1964
Impala SS console, power windows, tinted glass, Vintage Air,
keyless entry, AM/FM/CD player, custom SpeedHut gauge set and arm
rest door safety lights. This custom Impala has been driven 10,726
miles since its completion.
