Very desirable 6.6 liter, 4-speed with WS-6 performance package.
This is a PHS documented car with vin # matching motor and trans.
Same owner the last 10 years. He purchased from a Pontiac collector
that only has 4-speed cars, no exceptions. It's a very clean,
honest T/A.
EXTERIOR: The body is a virgin. No rust or damage. Tap on the
bottom of the fenders and it sounds metal, there's no bubbling
along the bottom of the doors, around the rear wheel well lips
still has the factory spot welds, the lower quarters are dry clean.
All the gaps are right on. Not even a door ding. It has had a one
time repaint in it's original Cameo white color. They did an
excellent job, as good as factory or better. I've just walked
around it twice and honestly don't see a flaw. New decals including
hood bird. Tail light panel is excellent, trim around the glass is
repainted. The window seals and weather strips have been replaced.
The WS6 package included wider 8 inch wheels, which are really one
of my favorite wheels of all times. They are in excellent shape,
the center caps look new. Has sport mirrors, shaker hood and
spoilers.
INTERIOR: Excellent condition from carpet to headliner. Really, it
is all excellent. Carpets look new, has GM floormats. The
upholstery, door panels, headliner is all mint. All the bits and
pieces like the console, armrests, window cranks, plastic trim,
kick panels, visors etc are mint. The formula steering wheel is
excellent. Dash area is excellent. The machine turned bezel is not
worn, has rallye gauges, clock even works. Has Am-Fm Delco stereo.
Interior lights work, inside the glove box is clean and it has an
owner's manual.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Looks like it's right off the assembly line.
Everything is very tidy, proper and detailed. The shaker hood
assembly is complete with ductwork. 400 motor is neatly painted,
has correct chrome valve covers. All the vacuum lines are properly
run. All the brackets, pullys, hoses, fan shroud etc are clean.
Brake booster looks new. It has factory air conditioning, updated
to R134a freon.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: I open the trunk and the light works. Bottom of
the trunk lid is painted real nice, has the decals. Very clean and
tidy, has the black felt mat. Original collapsible spare has never
been used. Jack assembly is restored.
UNDERSIDE: The front end components look new- ball joints, bushings
etc. Has sway bar. Bottom of motor is clean, fuel pump and starter
look new. The vin stamped on the block matches car. Has wide ratio
Muncie 4-speed, vin stamp also matches car. In back shocks have
been replaced, has posi rear and sway bar. There are disc brakes at
all four wheels, e-brake is hooked up. Has dual exhaust system with
two small catalytic converters and original splitter tips in back.
Completely solid. The floors, rockers, frame rails and even lower
inner 1/4s are clean original metal.
I'll tell you what, this is a clean car. Everything about it is
proper and clean. It functions and shows like new. I just told the
salesmen this is a really good car they can be confident about.
