1957 and 1958 Austin FX3 taxi. Asking 10,000 for both cars. Both cars run and drive, Both cars have clear titles. the black 1958 taxi is a complete rust free example. Everything on it works including the meter. 2.2L diesel with a 4 speed. There is bondo and the paint is cracking and flaking on the rear doors. There is no rust at all. This was brought over from England in 1969 when it was retired from active service, still have some of the original paper work. It sat in a warehouse from the late 80's until I got it 4 years ago. Radiator, t-stat, belts and hoses are all new. New Coker tires. Fuel system was cleaned and an electric pump was installed for reliability. The brakes are mechanical linkage. I have put about 2000 miles on it since getting it back up and running. It does leak a little oil, oil pan gasket is new and the oil pump was rebuilt. It is a super fun around town with the wife and kids kind of car. There was always a crowd around it wherever we went.
The Gray car is a 1957. It is most of the way through a slight restoration. I just cant complete it at this time and I hate to see them sit unused again. Clear title, Runs and drives, Motor was refreshed before it sat for about 7 years but starts and runs smooth. 2.2L diesel with a 4 speed. Have all the parts to complete with the exception of the running boards. The interior is new including the headliner. All the chrome has been re-plated.(that was not cheap). This car has a slightly better top speed, I had it up to 55 down the highway. Not sure if its geared different or what. Has some rust underneath but all the doors and fenders have been repaired. Car is mostly in primer. Body is pretty clean and straight for a taxi.
My plan was to make Wedding cars out of them. Paint one black and one white. plans change however and they need to see their next home.
