1958 Austin FX3 taxi. the black 1958 taxi is a complete rust free example. Everything on it works including the meter. 2.2L diesel with a 4 speed. There is bondo and the paint is cracking and flaking on the rear doors. There is no rust at all. This was brought over from England in 1969 when it was retired from active service, still have some of the original paper work. It sat in a warehouse from the late 80's until I got it 4 years ago. Radiator, t-stat, belts and hoses are all new. New Coker tires. Fuel system was cleaned and an electric pump was installed for reliability. The brakes are mechanical linkage. I have put about 2000 miles on it since getting it back up and running. It does leak a little oil, oil pan gasket is new and the oil pump was rebuilt. It is a super fun around town with the wife and kids kind of car. There was always a crowd around it wherever we went.
