Vehicle Description
1976 Dodge Charger Daytona - One Owner - 496ci 4bbl V8 - HD 727
Automatic - Professionally Restored - Tasteful Modifications with
Top Components - AMAZING Condition (Please note: If you happen to
be viewing this vehicle on a website other than our main website,
it's possible that only some of our many photographs of this car
are not presented due to website limitations. To be sure you access
all the photographs, please go to our main website: Garage Kept
Motors.) Here's a car that you don't see many of roaming the
streets, this one is a special package with lots of tasteful custom
touches throughout. This is a one owner local car that was
purchased new from K&M Dodge, just a mile down the road from
our dealership. Our client and only owner of this car, owns a
reputable local body shop, so to say that the body of this Charger
is in nice condition is an understatement. It is excellent! Body
panels line up just right, the paint has a deep shine, and all trim
pieces whether big or small are in great condition. The light and
dark blue combination that you see on the exterior of this car is
the factory correct combination, and the two tone color combination
breaks up the long body of this limited edition Charger Daytona.
Custom Billet wheels that mimic the Chrysler Rallye wheels of the
early '70's were commissioned by our client, and built by Circle
Racing Wheels of Fresno, California. Finished in 18x 8.5 front and
18x 9.5 in the rear, they are wrapped in sticky Nitto tires. With
that 496 under the hood, you need a bigger contact patch with the
pavement. Finished in the factory blue tone, the interior is very
well kept. A number of tasteful modifications to improve the
driver's ability to monitor that V8 under the hood .....have been
made to the interior of the car. Numerous AutoMeter Gauges have
been strategically placed on the dashboard and center console, a
new Grant steering wheel was added, Pioneer stereo components were
installed, and a Hurst shifter has been grafted in to the custom
center console. Other than those things, the interior is original -
comfy seats, original faux wood trim, door panels, even the
chronometer/clock is mounted on the dash - angled at the driver.
Under the hood, mounted in a neat engine bay is a 496ci V8 engine
that was custom built by Hughes Racing of Washington, Illinois. The
large displacement engine is mated to a HD 727 automatic
transmission, with a 3.91:1 Sure Grip 8 ¾ rear axle. A host of
performance and aftermarket parts are found on the custom power
plant - MSD Ignition and Distributor, Demon 850 Carburetor, TTI
Ceramic Headers, 3 TTI Dual Exhaust, Gear Vendors Overdrive. The
car also features power steering, and power disc brakes all around.
This is an awesome example of a very straight, very well cared for
original owner car. It's finished to a high standard inside and
out, and features a drive train that was built using premium parts.
You just don't find many one owner classics around, especially a
slightly customized car that is done right. Be sure to check out
