This consignment is a rare Gobi Beige over saddle interior Chevelle
SS 396 convertible with a 4 speed manual transmission and manual
convertible top. It has power disc brakes and power steering, a
3:31 Posi Rear, and an F-41 suspension.
The car is numbers matching and includes the original build sheet.
The last three photos show the stampings from the engine block,
rear axle, and transmission. The stamp on the rear axle shows that
it was assembled on December 16 and per the build sheet, the car
was assembled on December 22.
Updates include an MSD Atomic Throttle Body Fuel Injection system,
wider 245/60R14 Goodyear radials on the stock SS wheels, a
temperature gauge that replaced the coolant temp light, a new
aluminum radiator, and a new aluminum exhaust. The original tires
and carb are available as well.
The current owner purchased this Chevelle from Barrett Jackson Las
Vegas in 2012 and has all of the receipts for maintenance and
updates since that purchase.
