Vehicle Description
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this unique, low production,
1975 Bricklin SV-1. These were 2 seat sports cars built and
produced from 1974 to late 1975 out of Canada. The featured the
"Gull-Wing" style doors with color-impregnated acrylic resin bonded
to fiberglass. The SV-1 was designed with an emphasis on saftey and
its all in the name- Special Vehicle One. The safety features were
an integrated roll-over structure with energy absorbing bumpers.
The SV-1 was a creation of an American entrepreneur named Malcom
Bricklin. There were less than 3,000 of these ever built. This
particular SV-1 is finished in Safety Red. In 1975 there were only
2,100 built and only 324 of them were finished in Safety Red.
The SV-1 is powered by a Ford 351 Windsor v8 with an automatic
transmission. It rides on Goodyear white letter tires mounted on 15
inch American Racing Wheels. These cool little machines are a blast
to drive and this one is no exception. The engine fires to life and
handles as it should.
