The Second Generation Pony Car—1969 Mustang Fastback GT
This restored 1969 Mustang GT Fastback has it all:
Great Looking
This Fastback takes you back to the Ford showrooms of the late-60’s:
Resprayed in its original Indian Fire red, this car looks as new. The chrome is every bit as nice, as is the stainless trim.
The interior black upholstery (Deluxe option) of Black Clarion Knit Vinyl is in very nice condition. The car is also equipped with a center console.
The engine is a 351 V-8 with a 4 bbl that starts right up and delivers a herd of ponies when you put your foot into it.
The original 4-speed manual transmission has been upgraded to a Tremec 5-speed, and it shifts as smoothly as silk on both up and down shifts.
The underside of this Fastback is free of any visible structural rust or corrosion.
The car has power front disc brakes to bring this car to a quick and straight stop. Power steering makes driving effortless. And factory air conditioning makes it a pleasure to drive even on the hottest summer days.
All of the safety and accessory features work—lights, turn signals, wipers—but the horn will need some attention.
The BF Goodrich tires have most of their tread left and look great with the GT wheels.
An Extremely Nice Example of THE American Pony Car!
Nothing personifies the ‘60s more than the Mustang and of those Mustangs, the Fastback has become the preferred body-style. Finished in gleaming Indian Fire red, our 1969 Fastback GT looks like it can’t wait to get out on the road to show why these cars invented the concept: pony car. Nimble, quick and beautiful, this Fastback will get smiles and waves wherever it goes, whether to a show, a cruise-in or a trip to get ice cream. Come take a look and it will be in your garage before you can say: Pony Car!
