We are pleased to present this fully restored 1969 Mustang Mach 1 R
code Super Cobra Jet in the correct factory F5 Gulfstream Aqua
paint with blackout shaker hood treatment. It was produced on
September 26, 1968 at the Metuchen New Jersey assembly plant and
shipped to Alexander Motor Co in Durham, North Carolina. According
to the Marti report, this is 1 of 1 produced with this option
package. Let's review the specs. It has the original matching
numbers 428 cid 4bbl Ram Air engine, 4 speed Close Ratio manual
transmission, black Clarion Knit/Vinyl Mach 1 high back bucket
seats, AM radio, tinted glass, rim blow horn, raised white letter
F70X14 tires, AM radio and the only one produced with this paint
and these options with the 3.25 Traction-Lok rear axle. The paint
and interior are both in excellent condition. The big block 428 and
4 speed manual transmission send buckets of power through the
Traction Lok rear that puts it solidly on the ground and a smile on
both the drivers face and anyone else that gets to experience it.
