The Fiat 500, known in Italy as the cinquecento, was a "people's
car" produced by Fiat company between 1957 and 1975. Launched in
July 1957, designed by Dante Giacosa, the Nuova 500 was a successor
to the Fiat 500 Topolino models A, B C - Topolino meaning "little
mouse" and marketed as a low cost town car. Measuring just over 9
feet long and powered by a 479 cc two-cylinder, air-cooled engine,
the Fiat 500 or "Bambina" is considered one of the first city cars.
The post-war market required economy cars and the rear-engined Fiat
500 following the concept of the Volkswagen Beetle met this demand.
Despite its small size, the fiat five hundred proved to be an
enormously popular car throughout Europe during the 1960's and
1970's. Fiat 500 R or Rinnovata - (1972 - 1975) Had a larger 594 cc
engine, out 23 hp (similar to the fiat 126) and a syncromesh
gearbox. The unique chrome nudge bars, as seen on the L models
disappeared and Fiat mixed and matched the interior with the F
model. This beautiful Fiat 500 is a fresh rotisserie restoration
completed by a renowned micro-car expert located just north of
Modena, Italy. After an extensive search, this completely original,
very low mileage, rust/accident free Fiat was located on the
streets of Italy. Being a true 34,000km (22k mile) vehicle made
this Fiat the ideal restoration candidate. The 500R (Rinnovata) was
completely disassembled and then meticulously restored using all
OEM parts over the course of 6 months. Finished in its original Blu
Scuro (Dark Blue), this immaculate Fiat 500 looks even better than
new and is presented in Collector Grade (#1) condition. The red
interior with black piping is flawless and the engine compartment
has been fully detailed. The Fiat is completely original right down
to the tire jack and tool kit. A wood and chrome luggage rack has
been added and complimented with a vintage Italian suitcase. A
complete list of features include; 594 cm3 2-cyl, 4 speed manual,
center console storage, chrome bumpers and mirror, vinyl sunroof,
vent windows, tire tools, full spare, 12" factory wheels, and new
