2003 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail 100th Anniversary (FLSTCI) - Styled to recall the past, the Heritage Softail� Classic is a bike for riders who want the comfort of a modern bike with the classic look of a 1940s hardtail. In celebration of this great accomplishment Harley released several motorcycles bearing unique anniversary paint schemes and badges. It's hard to believe these beautiful bikes hit the streets over 16 years ago. Many of these Harleys were ridden several miles or have changed hands numerous times over the years. Offered here today is a one-owner, highly optioned Anniversary Edition Softail with only 766 miles! This Harley was purchased here in Houston, TX during September of 2003. Just two months later, the owner returned to the selling dealership and spent an additional $1,348 further dressing up the motorcycle. It was then ridden very modestly until 2007 when it became a display piece in the owners huge warehouse of vintage collectibles (signs, classic cars, gas pumps, etc). When we acquired the Harley it had only two flaws. First, it had not been driven in 12 years and second, the front rim had light rust from condensation pooling on the lip. In preparation for resale we replaced the front spoked wheel with an exact match from Harley. The entire fuel system was flushed, tank was cleaned/sealed, fuel pump assembly was replaced, new plugs installed, it received a new battery, and was fully detailed. With exception of some light pitting spots on the forks, this Heritage Softail looks and drives like it did when it was brand new. The Dunlop whitewall tires are still in excellent condition.
