Vehicle Description
This 1965 Corvette convertible was the recipient of a professional,
no-expense-spared, frame-off restoration and updated with modern
technology and conveniences. It is powered by a new LS7 7.0-liter
V8 crate engine with electronic fuel injection, producing 505hp
backed by a new TREMEC 5-speed manual transmission. The engine
speaks through ceramic-coated headers and a side-pipe exhaust
system. This car is supported by a Street Shop chassis fitted with
upgraded C4 Corvette suspension containing all polished or painted
components. The original body is finished in black two-stage paint
with a red Stinger and has been ceramic-coated for added
protection. The hood has the Stinger painted on the inside surface
as well. Upgrades include power rack & pinion steering, power disc
brakes at all four corners and power windows. The Vintage Air
heating and cooling system keeps the car comfortable when the top
is up. The interior features red and black leather upholstery and
an AM/FM radio with auxiliary input. The car comes with a new
soft-top and rides on 17" front and 18" rear Corvette Z06 wheels.
The original gauges have been upgraded with new electronic gauges.
The car was built by well-known NuVintage Corvettes out of
Huntsville, AL, and has 281 test miles since completion. It drives
and handles like a modern car with classic Corvette style. It won
Best in Show at the Shepherd Super Summer Cruise and was featured
in the local magazine.
