My 1960 Impala 4 Door hard top is a great car for classic car lovers. 283 V8 with Edelbrock 600 cfm carburetor and performer manifold and a late seventies Electronic Distributor. Original cast iron powerglide. Dual exhaust. Seats were reupholstered with original red houndstooth fabric. This car has been in my family for 39 years and as best I can tell has had 4 owners, two of which were my Father and myself. I have had restoration work done over the years, including extensive restoration performed on the roof, with headliner and carpet, new steering box, steering linkage, ball joints and other work all done at Fantomworks if you've seen the show on the Velocity channel. The front floor pans have several areas where they are rusted through, but could possibly be patched vs replacing the entire floor pan, which would be much less expensive restoration cost-wise. The Cherry Bomber is a great driving car and lots of fun to be out with family and friends. Radio was reworked some years back and also works. With a few exceptions, this car is about 95% original, including the generator, which I had rebuilt. Unfortunately, the weathered paint and rust patina underneath does not give the best appearance, but interior and mechanical operation is sound.
