1991 Porsche 911 Turbo
The 964 Generation of the 911 is often regarded as the most
beautiful and for good reason. The removal of the US impact bumpers
that Porsche adopted to meet safety regulations in 1974 had made
for a beautiful and aerodynamic improvement when they were eschewed
in favor of the body colored and molded bumpers of the new 964's in
1989. The turbo is even more thrilling to look at with their wide
hips and shoulders; almost an old Coke Bottle design.
The refinement is more than skin deep. Although retaining the 3.3
litre Single-Turbocharged and Inter-cooled engine, the motor now
makes 315 bhp. The transmission is the familiar and improved G50 /
Borg Warner Synchromesh gearbox. The car now rides on tradition
spring and shocks at all four corners doing away with the old
torsion bar set up.
The car we have here is a real gem. Painted from the factory in a
gorgeous Polar Silver with Black full leather interior; it is a
site to behold! This car also comes with the stunning and rare 18"
staggered width "Speedline for Porsche" three piece wheels. These
are the very same wheels that would later be standard equipment on
the 1994 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.6. This car also has been further
enhanced by Bilstein PSS10 Coil-Over Suspension. You can really see
from the photos how this 911 "sits". The ride is perhaps just a bit
more firm than the stock set up but will offer even more grip in
the corners without really sacrificing the ride quality. We do not
have the original equipment wheels or suspension.
For a rare car with tremendous visual appeal and some incredible
driving enhancements, this '91 Turbo is a super value. The 964
generation of the 911 have been steadily improving in value; the
Turbos even more so. There really could not be a more fun Porsche
