This particular early-first generation Turbo Carrera 3.0 was
special ordered new with exterior and interior executed in a
strikingly beautiful, "one-of-one" combination of Albert Blue over
Grey full leather. This is confirmed by Porsche special option
order code "99" on the original assembly records as well as Porsche
Certificate of Authenticity. The color had original been offered
initially as a special option color in 1972 and 1973, however very
few were ever completed in this color. The original owner had the
dealer at time of delivery install Pirelli P7 tires as well as
"European" headlight assemblies. He also had the dealer install a
special 23-chanel, Blaupunkt Stereo / Cassete system and rear
European fog/rain light and European rear tail-lamps. The
additional special request items fitted new to the car pushed the
selling price to $28,570 making it one if not the most expensive
example sold that year.
Complete history and records from new document a total of four
owners. In 2013 with the odometer now showing 57,075 original
miles, it was given a sympathetic cosmetic restoration by
California Porsche Restoration. The work included a partial repaint
of any rock-chipped areas and new leather interior from Autos
International. The engine received a top-end rebuild at the same
time. A full set of complete services was carried out in 2017 with
only 200 additional miles added to the car since then.
This head-turning 911 Turbo Carrera is supplied with a Porsche
Production Specifications certificate, correct spare wheel and
compressor, jack, tools, owner's manual, and service invoices as
well as documented history going back to new.
