1953 Chevrolet 3100 � ton 5 Window Pickup full Custom
These trucks were part of GMs Advanced Design Series, with more
comfort and room. The cab design was described as having Unisteel
Battleship Construction. These vintage pickups have very strong
collector support and they make great custom trucks. This
particular example is the highly desirable 5 window cab finished in
Bright Yellow with a Saddle Tan leatherette bench seat and Tan
interior trim. Powered by a GM 5.7 Liter V8 with fuel injection and
mated to a4l60E overdrive automatic transmission with column shift
and 3.73 rear gear it is a great highway cruiser. Safety is
enhanced by excellent front disc and rear drum brakes along with
Mustang II power rack and pinion steering. There are newer
255/55R16 front and 255/55R18 rear tires on American Racing
polished 5 spoke wheels. The bed is finished off with new cabinet
grade oak and newer stainless rub strips. The grill is painted and
the bumper is body color up front with a custom panel trim on the
rear. The great thing is this is a done ready to go cruiser with a
full compliment of Beede working gauges and Air Conditioning.
Notice all the little touches also like, tilt wheel, stainless caps
on the bedrails, and a fuel filler door that pops open. Here is you
