This 1959 Mercedes-Benz 220SE is one of 1,112 cabriolets built
between 1958 and 1960 and is a European-spec example that was
imported from Germany to California by the original owner in 1959.
The car was purchased in the mid 1960s by the second owner, who
brought it to Seattle, Washington in the 1970s and used it as a
summer driver for several years until initiating a refurbishment.
The work was not completed before his passing, and the seller
stored and exercised the car for the second owner's widow for about
six years before purchasing it three months ago. Finished in
Graphite Grey over a cream leather interior, this W128 is one of
628 two-door examples produced in 1959 and is powered by a
fuel-injected 2.2L inline-six paired with a column-shifted 4-speed
manual transmission. Service performed in August 2019 included
changing the oil, transmission fluid, brake and clutch fluid,
differential oil, and coolant. The sale includes owner's manuals, a
factory tool kit, a selection of spare parts, and a clean
Washington title in the seller's name. This listing is live now,
