The Chevrolet Corvette C7.R is a grand tourer racing car built by Pratt & Miller and Chevrolet for competition in endurance racing. In 2016, the C7.R ran in the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona. The Corvette racing team scored a class win with a photo finish between the numbers 3 and 4 cars, driven by Oliver Gavin and Antonio Garcia. The cars finished .034 seconds apart from one another. In 2016 Chevrolet introduced the Corvette Z06 C7.R Edition. This was a road-going, track-capable homage to the Corvette Racing C7.R racecars. It was offered in either Corvette Racing's signature yellow livery or black, with coordinated exterior and interior accents. Only 500 examples of the C7.R edition were built and all will include the Z07 Performance Package. This Package included carbon ceramic brakes, as well as a specially serialized vehicle identification number.
