Vehicle Description
1971 Chevrolet C10 Pickup
It's no secret that Chevrolet builds some of the most celebrated
trucks on the planet. From the AK era forward, every generation has
found a solid following and, eventually, firm footing in the
collector car world. Over the past few years, we've featured plenty
of vintage, ground-pounding bowties, and this righteous purple
people eater is just the latest in a series of sweet C/K head
turners.
For consignment a resto-mod C-10 with all the right
moves...straight panels...Check!...great chrome...Check!, A new
Interior...Check!, and a powerful mill....Check! If you have an
affinity for purple and licking flames, Check! This truck out.
Note: This vehicle is sold with a Pennsylvania reconstructed
branding on the title***
Exterior
A shaved modified rear with widened fender tubs for a lower ride,
white under purple with plenty of heat added in the form of thin
licking flame pin striping. A new bed lined gray carpet, is covered
by a solid lift up tonneau whose interior is gray cloth and a
centered purple bowtie. This is completed with a spoiler in purple.
As we move forward, the cab has been chopped and is also covered in
purple. At the belt line where the delineation between purple and
white takes place, we see more licking flames. Door handles have
been shaved, and a remote now pops them open. The front of the
truck we see a large purple scoop on the hood and in front at the
grille, some purple-ing of the bumpers, headlight bezels and grille
surround. Shiny horizontal bars protect the radiator and add bling
to this truck. 15" weld Prostar wheels are all around and are
wrapped with 31 x 16.5-15LT Mickey Thompson Sportsman Pro rear
tires, and in front 215/65R15 tires. No sour grapes on this
exterior.
Interior
A light gray broadcloth peppered with purple cloth accents covers 2
buckets inside. A custom center console in gray races through the
seats, and houses a storage compartment, and cup holders. This
stops abruptly at a floor mounted gearshift. An original C10 style
dash, splashed with purple, and a burlap style dash top covering an
aftermarket Radio/CD player, and a large bowtie logo where the
radio used to be. The adjustable steering column sports a column
tachometer and is fronted by a new rally style steering wheel. The
floor is carpeted with nice clean gray carpeting and has gray
carpet floor mats emblazoned with purple Chevy bowtie logos. The
headliner, not to be outdone by the floor, also has gray burlap
textured cloth, and a purple bowtie in the center. A plethora of
Purple, even a smattering on the door panels.
Drivetrain
A simple but effective Chevrolet 350ci crate motor with a thumping
Cam Hy balancer inside topped by a Holley 750 CFM carburetor and a
TH400 3-speed automatic transmission and all the way back a 12-bolt
3.55 posi rear.
Undercarriage
Showing very clean, black paint in excellent condition save for
some water drips, is broken up by dual exhausts, and a shiny oil
pan. Power disc brakes upfront and power drums in the rear are
seen.
A fine job on this restoration gives this C10 a unique look, all
the while retaining its mostly original form. For the person who's
passionate about purple, has a perchance for performance, we have
the perfectly aged truck, redone to make your neighbors purple with
envy. And it has been done pleasingly! Please note this vehicle has
a reconstructed title
