This 1973 BMW 2002tii, with V.I.N. 2764045, with matching # engine, in its original color of chamonix white on Navy, (have printed document from BMW Archival Group of Munich stating the original paint code 085 and port of destination) was originally imported to Hoffman Motors in New York, as most of them, and initially made its way to a Dealer in Southern California, it did some traveling about the states, and now resides in Hillsborough California. With general documentation supporting its 74k mile journey from its early years.
This tii is still in wonderful condition, with no structural rust, and solid panels throughout the car. All original down to the original wheels, and hubcaps. The Blaupunkt radio that came with the car is in a box with the original tool kit, and some other parts that came with the car.
DRIVE-LINE-UNDERCARRIAGE-FLOOR PAN; The Drive-line is solid, the engine, 4 speed transmission, and rear end are all in strong running condition with no major leaks, smoking, or ominous growls. The front and rear suspension components have been removed, cleaned, painted, serviced. The floor-pan is amazingly clean, with no evidence of any structural rust or welding.
INTERIOR; the seats are the original fabric in Navy Blue, and in very good shape no rips-tears, 2 small cracks on the dash, clean headliner,, no holes, tears, NO sunroof, carpet in good condition, has some typical aging from weekly wear and tear.
PAINT; was repainted less then 5yrs ago, don't have pictures of what it was before the repaint, but the existing paint is also in very good shape, with no major issues, may have some tiny scratches, blems, a parking lot bobo, otherwise, a very, solid, driver in exceptional condition.
ALL other functioning- aspects; all glass intact, no eminent cracks, lights, interior dome light, blinkers, horn, wipers, doors, and door locks, trunk windows, quarter and vent windows, heater fan, speedometer-ODOMETER are all still working fine. This is not a show car, but a fine example of an early 2002tii, in roadworthy condition, that has been well kept. call for details.
OVERALL general condition of this running, driving non-garage Queen, is perhaps a 7.5- 8, on a scale,of 1-10, and 10 being a concourse car. asking price is $45k. (would consider a partial trade for a 1973 Chevy truck, or similar)
