Rare 1949 Chevy National Ambulance. This was an actual working ambulance during the 1940's-1950's. Restoration nearly 90% complete. Replaced with a 1947 Chevy straight line 6 cylinder engine with 2 barrel carbureator and a replaced standard transmission with 3 gear on the column. Car has been in storage and hasn't run for some time so fuel line might be gummed up but it does turn over and run.
Recently repainted to original color and fully re-upholstered inside, new ceiling cloth and new carpet. Cargo/patient area has original medical/storage compartments and a collapseable doctor's chair that folds down into the floor panel area. Also has a mounted and functional siren and emergency light on the roof. The vehicle does have some minor items left to be completely to fully restore such as attaching side chrome and new dash knobs/levers (the side chrome is included with other original parts) and needs a new 6V battery but still is nearly 85% restored. This is a unique and rare vehicle and a great classic car for people who are ambulance enthusiasts.
