For Sale: 1962 Ford Thunderbird in Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan

Vehicle Description

Very original white on white bullet-nose bird with 35, 823 original miles. Starts, runs and handles nicely. The vehicle is in very good condition and has been well maintained.

Assembled in Wixom, Michigan, June 4 1962 (retail price in 1962 - $6,033) with a 390 cubic inch engine, 3 speed cruise-omatic transmission, Ford 9" rear end, fold away steering column with a factory lap belt installed for the driver. Original white leather interior, original FoMoCo washer bag, lights, horn and wipers are all in good working order. The exhaust is original, primary mufflers look good, secondary mufflers are somewhat rusted.

Originally sold in California (California State highway Patrol sticker on windshield). Current owner purchased the vehicle in 1988, did a small amount of summer cruising and placed it into storage from 2001 to 2015.

Work completed in 2015: re-cored original radiator, re-built Ford auto light 4 bbl carburetor, new fuel pump, fuel tank and fuel pick-up, upgraded shift lever and shift detent plate, all fluids replaced, new tires.

Notes on vehicle: the heater core developed a leak and was bypassed but has not been removed so can be repaired or removed at future owner's discretion. One small chip at the top of the windshield. One front hub replaced by previous owner. A few small paint nicks but no rust or paint peeling on body. The chrome is very good.

Ready to drive and enjoy as is. $15,750 USD
