1958 Chevrolet Corvette For Sale - Highly Original Throughout LMC
is very proud to offer for sale this 1958 Chevrolet Corvette 1958
marked the first year for the four-headlight design on the
Corvette. This general design would be around until 1962 with a few
tweaks, but the new for 1958 models had a few unique aspects that
were only around the one year, making them the most unique of the
solid axle Corvettes and louvered "washboard" engine hood and
chrome "spears" on the rear trunk lid. They were also available
with no less than five variations of the famous 283 cubic inch
engine, from mild 230hp to the wild 290hp Fuel Injected engine.
This desirable 1958 model was sold new at Courtesy Chevrolet in Los
Angeles California on May 31st, 1958. The car was ordered by Mr.
James L Bray who was a registered Surgeon and a professor at the
USC School of Medicine. This Corvette is equipped with the rare
283ci/245hp Dual Quad engine backed by a Powerglide automatic
transmission. It is finished in the attractive Snowcrest White
paint with Silver coves complemented by a gorgeous Red Interior.
The car remained in Mr. Bray's ownership until 1987 as he kept all
of his California registration slips. He kept very good care of it
as it remains largely original condition today. The car was then
sold to Daniel Kennedy from West Springfield, Ma where it would
remain until 1992. It would then be sold to Robert OrFaly would
remain the caretaker from 1992 until recently. With documented
ownership, this car has been well taken care of since new and kept
in great collector condition. It comes with a window sticker,
registration and ownership history, owner's manual, dealer
brochure, owner service policy and its California license plate.
