Rotisserie Restoration LMC is very proud to offer for sale this
1968 Shelby GT350 Convertible. In 1968 a total of 4,451 Shelby
Mustangs were produced for the model year. It also marked the year
that Ford took over production of the Shelby vehicles with
operations moving to Livonia, Michigan from California. The styling
changes for 1968 were minor with the front of the vehicle restyled
resulting in more aggressive appearance. The headlights switched
back to the single seven-inch unit configuration with Lucas fog
lamps positioned inside the grill. The hood was once again a
fiberglass unit with repositioned scoops and air-extraction
louvers. According to the Marti Report, this 1968 Shelby GT350
Convertible rolled off the line on April, 4, 1968 in its factory
Highland Green finish. It is powered by a numbers matching 302-4V
V8 GT350 engine and upgraded 4 speed manual transmission. This
would be 1 of the only 404 total Shelby GT350 Convertibles that
would be produced in 1968, indeed making this a very rare and
collectible car. It left the factory with a list of various options
that include: Shoulder Harness, Power Top, Glass Backlight, The
Extra Cooling Package, Power Disc Brakes, Power Steering, Tilt-Away
Steering Wheel, AM Radio, The Interior Dcor Group, Visibility
Group, Heavy Duty Battery, Tachometer, Trip Odometer, Front and
Rear Bumper Guards, and Wheel Lip Moldings. This GT350 has had the
benefit of a complete no expense spared nut and bolt rotisserie
restoration that has made this Shelby into an exceptional example.
It was refinished in it factory Highland Green paint which has been
wet sanded and polished to a show ready finish. The beautiful paint
is complemented by a new deluxe black interior and black power
convertible top. The undercarriage is absolutely immaculate and
looks just how it would have rolled off the assembly line almost 50
years ago, with factory correct paint dabs, tags, markings, body
color overspray on top of the factory red oxide primer. To say that
this Shelby looks great is an understatement. This GT350
Convertible is in absolutely gorgeous condition and is indeed rare
due to its low production numbers for convertibles in 1968. It also
comes fully documented with a Marti Report. Don't miss the
