Vehicle Description
1977 British Leyland MG MGB convertible! Finished in burgundy red
over black, this 42-year-old BLUE CALIFORNIA LICENSE PLATE specimen
has been driven just over 34,000 miles since. Yes, the five-digit
odometer works and mileage is strongly believed to be accurate and
true. It sports a good running 53 horsepower 1.8 liter four
cylinder engine mated to the factory 4 speed manual transmission
with shifter button overdrive, original alloy wheels with trim
rings and older rubber, original convertible top with tonneau cover
and factory key, working radio and and a few assorted extra parts.
This nice original little roadster is being sold with clear and
clean California title and current smog certificate. THE BODY AND
TRIM This exterior of this 1977 MGB is in quite good dry, clean
99.99% condition overall with a decent overall shine to the paint
finish. There are various cosmetic imperfections which include
tattered convertible top, minor nicks and scratches along with
paint checking, and slightly faded and worn areas. Overall this is a
very presentable 'driver-quality' example! THE INTERIOR As I hope
is articulated in the photos, the interior of this little MG is in
quite good very original condition overall with all gauges in good
working order. The radio works, the gauges light up, the lights and
blinkers work. The horn is inoperable. The carpets and seat
upholstery are in very good condition commensurate with a low
mileage car of this age. Overall this is still quite nice tidy
interior THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE This 1977 MGB starts easily with
good to very good running engine with far from neck-snapping
acceleration, good shifting transmission, solid straight braking
and quite smooth and supple suspension.
