Vehicle Description
1988 CHEVROLET CORVETTE - 35th Anniversary
Anybody who has ever dabbled in the car hobby knows that the
Corvette line of vehicles has a huge fan base. Whether it is the
classics or the modern cars the Corvette has solidified its place
in sports car history. The C4 body style of Corvette was introduced
in 1983 and lasted until 1996. During the C4 run the second
specialized edition released was the 35th anniversary cars. These
were also referred to as the Triple White Corvette given their
White paint, White interior and White wheels. It was a limited run
with only 2,050 of these editions being produced. This is very low
production considering that with the 40th anniversary almost 7,000
were produced and the package cost went from $4,800 with the 35th
to only $1,455 with the 40th. In addition to the White color scheme
the cars had different trim and special badging entirely unique to
the 35th anniversary making them a very collectable edition. They
were also all numbered with a special edition plaque on the center
console. This one is number 398 and runs very well. The White paint
is in good shape as is the Black removable top and all of the other
glass. The wheels are the new 17 inch option in 1988 that were
factory painted White. It is wrapped with fresh tires that have
less than 100 miles on them.
In addition to being a unique serialized Corvette this car was also
just completely serviced. This includes all new fluids, radiator
flush, new spark plugs, and new filters. Just over $1000 was spent
on it tuning it up and addressing any possible issues. The 350c.i
5.7L L98 TPI motor runs very well and has plenty of power. It is
paired with an automatic transmission that shifts smoothly. Being a
special edition they packed as many features in them that was
available so all the power options for the time were included with
the order.
The interior is the factory White and Black color combo which has
been well maintained. It has all be kept factory original with the
only major customization being the addition of a Pioneer AM/FM/CD
player. It still has the fully digital dash with the ability to
change your display to show a bunch of optional information. All of
it is working properly with no issues. Pop the rear hatch and you
will see the Black carpeting still looks good covering the dual
storage compartments.
This is a nice solid car that runs and drives very well. Being that
it is a numbered collectors edition with low miles makes it stand
out among other C4s but that isn't going to keep us from offering
it up at a reasonable price.
