enough, this car is serial #99 - WOW how cool is that?!?! Restored
and looking amazing. We acquired this car after chasing it over the
last 25 years. My father who was also my business partner first saw
this car at a local car show and tried at that show to buy it from
it's owner. Needless to say he wouldnt sell, so my father
waited.... Each time he would see the gentlemen as the years came
and went my dad would hit the man up to sell us his Vette. The
owner though was always pretty firm, the car would go to his son
when he was gone. My dad never gave up though he continued to hound
the owner each time he'd see the car. Finally my dads health got
the best of him and he passed away a couple years ago. In late
February 2019 my mother gets a call (on my dads number that she
never shut off) it was the son of the owner of the car David. He
tells my mom his dad is putting a big land deal together and needs
to free up some working capital and wondered if Ed (my dad) would
still be interested in the car he owned. Anyway long story short
(too late) mom tells him of my dads passing so no, but my son might
be!!!! Of course I know the car, and the man, because of the years
my dad would tell me he saw him again and couldn't pry the car from
his mits. YEAH IM INTERESTED.... So I call and 45 minutes later I'm
standing in front of the car, knowing I'm leaving with it but
trying to play it cool. Thinking how satisfying it would be for my
dad to be standing in this position with Dave. What a great guy the
owner of the car was. He had lots of nice things to say about the
years of my dad chasing him and his car. Dave explained how when my
dad was chasing the car it was always nice, but because he had been
driving it for many years the car was starting to need things. Just
recently finished, but over the course of the last 10-13 years he
was bit by bit restoring it and within the last 3 or 4 years
finishing the restoration (see some details below) and now the car
is actually quite a bit better than when my dad first started his
chase. Well needless to say I struck a deal, and I must say the car
was worth the wait. As described by Mr. Rose the last owner. Around
2005 took the car apart and started the work on the belly. 5 years
later...engine/trans, new dash pad/windshield/carpet, gas tank,
