Vehicle Description
1967 Mustang GTA Tribute Car. The car was originally a C-Code 289V8
Automatic Coupe with Deluxe (Vented) Hood and Center Console, with
Power Steering. The car was also originally a Lime Gold Exterior
with two-tone green interior. The car was a barn find out of
Illinois, when purchased by me in 2004, with an original 46,000
miles. It was last restored in 2013. I replaced most of the
floorboards, and had the car repainted. Except for gauges, the
interior is completely original and in excellent condition. Also,
in 2013, I replaced the 289 with a later model 302 (.060 overbore),
added an AOD transmission (with mild stall torque converter), and
replaced the 8" open rear center with a post-traction unit, and
changed the gear to 3.25:1. The car also has a Holly Red electronic
fuel pump. Upgrades to the engine include Crane Thumper Cam, Holly
750 Carb, ProComp aluminum 2.02 Intake heads (they are painted),
Edelbrock RPM Intake, Hooker Headers feeding modified GT exhaust
system (also updated in 2013), and MSD ignition. Other upgrades
include disc brake conversion kit (completed in 2018), rear air
shocks, Shelby drop on front suspension. Major power steering and
front suspension components were all rebuilt or replaced in 2017,
and a saginaw pump added to replace the OEM pump. Finally, the
radiator has been updated with from a 2 core to heavy duty 4 core
unit. Finally, the F series Bias Ply tires are from 1974, and have
been holding air since I bought the car, and add a unique look.
