I'm the 2nd owner of this rare and beautiful carousel red (orange) numbers-matching 1976 Trans Am purchased in 1995, This Trans Am has been driven sparingly and always garaged since 1995. This Trans Am has been well-treated, well-taken care of, and the body well-maintained.
Items to know about this Trans Am:
- Rated a 2 on the September 2018 appraisal (with 1 being best). 2 defined as "extremely well-maintained original showing very minimal wear"
- Have the original build-sheet
- Worn interior parts refreshed
- 400 CI V8 engine was professionally rebuilt, balanced, and blueprinted in 1997 at 50,000 miles
- Rochester quadrajet carburetor professionally rebuilt in 1997 at 50,000 miles
- Edelbrock aluminum intake added during rebuild (have the original intake)
- Original 3-core radiator (leak developed) replace with a 4-core
- Hedman headers and dual exhaust added (have the original exhaust manifolds)
- Turbo 350 transmission has a B&M torque converter with 2,400 RPM stall, B&M shift kit
- The u-joints have been upgraded to stronger units
- The rear-end gearing has been changed an Auburn Gear 3.42 (have the original 2.41 gears)
- Pioneer AM/FM cassette radio and Pioneer speakers
- Rally II wheels with Goodyear Eagle tires
- Front disc and rear drum brakes
- Firebird and all emblems are original, professional paint touch ups when needed
- Not presently working items: AC, tach/clock
- Missing items: spare tire and jack
