1981 Pontiac Trans Am Factory 4 speed!
'81 was the last year for the 2nd gen firebird / trans ams and only a handful were offered with the 4 speed manual trans option.
When originally found, the car, although sporting an amateur black /gold paint job, still retained much of its originality.
Body was stripped and repainted in the correct silver metallic and new Blue decals / hood bird were installed. Body was very solid, sporting original floor pans and all original sheetmetal, requiring only minimal work. The paint work is nice quality.
The interior is original and in very nice shape ( too nice to replace) Though the carpet and stereo were replaced at some point.
All gauges, power windows , lights work as they should.
The engine is correct for the car, but with a few added upgrades to produce the power a trans am should have had.
Bored out to a 355, performance cam, aluminum roller rockers, HEI ignition, Hooker long tube headers, aluminum intake, etc etc.
Have original build sheet found under back seat framed and goes with car.
