Willys-Overland Motors produced the Jeepster from 1948 to 1950 in response to a need for a civilian passenger automobile. With its simple slab-sided design reminiscent of World War II utility vehicles, this jaunty two-door open car was envisioned as the sports car for veterans.
Features that cost extra in other cars were standard for this model, and there was a new instrument panel and redesigned front end with a V-shaped grille. Total Jeepster production: only 19,132 cars.
This sporty convertible has a polished black exterior with red belt molding that is simply striking. There are five new whitewall tires featuring hub caps with bright trimmings, and the spare is a continental-style rear mount.
