100% Original SURVIVOR in Excellent Condition

In the late 60s, the New Yorker had taken Chryslers premier luxury car slot over the sportier 300 Series and the lower priced Newport. The Imperial had been rebranded as its own entity to compete with Cadillac and Lincoln while the New Yorker was competitive with GMs Buick Electra and the Olds Ninety-Eight. Only 13025 New Yorkers were produced in '68.
On May 6th 1968, this New Yorker was the choice for Mrs Bernice Deckard of Bloomington Indiana when she purchased this car at Paul Brown Motor Sales of Bloomington. This New Yorker remained in her family right up until April of 2019. The documentation includes the original Certicard, warranty booklet, owners manual, insurance information and a well kept record of mileage throughout the years.
This car today is in excellent "garage kept" condition and has never been restored. It is an all original Survivor with just 39700 actual miles. The factory original white paint (WW1) shines like new but does have a some touch-ups to a few small dings which should be expected after 50+ years. (They are shown in the photos) The chrome and trim are just plain incredible with no dings or pitting. The interior is nothing less than immaculate. No rips, holes or tares. The dash is perfect as is the steering wheel, package tray and headliner. All gauges work and are crystal clear. The Air Conditioning is cold and still uses the old R12 system. The AM radio plays loud and clear and has a power antenna. Options include power windows, power vent windows, 8-way power bench seat, drivers side remote mirror, Chrysler famous fender mounted turn signals and more. Everything works as intended. Windows go up & down fast and Easy! Even the lighter pops out when lit but as the photos show, it has been never used. -CRAZY!! Currently, the gas gauge sticks a bit!
The original 440ci 350hp runs beautifully. The original Holley 4-barrel carburetor was rebuilt a while back and idles beautifully. A new dual master brake cylinder was the only modification which was done for safety reasons. Driving is incredible. There is no pulling while driving and the front end is tight. No shaking or rattling.... only rolling:) There are no leaks or drips of any kind. There is absolutely No rust anywhere and that includes he usual areas like behind the rear glass and the rear fender wells. Nothing!
The undercarriage is super clean and rust free as well but does show its usage in some areas by way of its surface rash which is basically dried dirt.
