This is my 87 Grand National, true mileage unknown.
Re-wrapped seats, new carpet, and new headliner. Plugs, wires and coil pack were also replaced. Mileage is unknown because a V8 regal cluster was swapped in at some point. I put in a correct cluster, but the boost and rpm led s are always fully lit. The car has been repainted at some point (I believe the late 90 s) with a single stage or lacquer and has some oxidizing on the decklid, roof, and hood (also some bubbling pictured). Doors, fenders and quarters are in pretty great shape.
I've had the car for over two years and haven t let water touch it for fear of the astro roof leaking, and I just haven t made time to replace the seals.
I believe the engine is un-opened. I replaced the seemingly stock valve cover gaskets that were completely shot. I ve put somewhere between 500-700 miles on it and have had zero issues other than the starter failing, which I of course replaced. I installed a cold air intake, removed the clogged cat, and cut the tail pipes after the axle (it had some very unappealing monte style tails on it) but that s it. It s also evident the driver s side exhaust manifold has been repaired where they typically leak.
There are spots on the roof where it seems someone buffed through the paint, I left the sections at the gutter rails alone, but spray painted a temporary bandaid fix around the astro roof, as it was a rather large and bare area.
I installed H&R lowering springs and Bilstein shocks in the rear, QA1 adjustable coil overs in the front. Replaced upper and lower control arm bushings, brake calipers, and rotors. Rear drums are S10 drums.
Has power windows, driver s seat, and astro roof.
This car is a blast to drive and gets compliments everywhere I go, but I m ready to move to another weekend warrior.
