Wow! An RS-SS with a 4-speed and factory air conditioning. I bought
it from a fussy collector in Nebraska. It's a really great car
mechanically and cosmetically. Only a couple thousand miles on
frame off restoration.
EXTERIOR: Factory red car. The fit and finish drew me to this car.
I could immediately tell it was a good one. The panels align really
square and flush. Paint is a beautiful glossy finish. The stripe is
properly painted on. All of the chrome including bumpers, hood
grills, mirror, door handles are all very bright. All of the trim-
wheel well moldings, stainless around the windows and on top of the
doors is also bright and shiny. Has a new windshield, vinyl top
looks new. Has a set of restored 15 inch Rally wheels with bright
new trim on BFG tires. Jambs are clean. The Rally Sport included
extra trim, relocated reverse lights and of course the hidden
headlights. The headlight door both work properly.
INTERIOR: It is a deluxe interior that's in excellent shape. Deluxe
includes the upgraded molded door panels, wood grain, trim on the
pedals and upgraded upholstery. The dash area is very clean and
tidy, the knobs, vents, gauges, controls are all clean and
functional. It has a cassette stereo neatly mounted in the factory
hole. It also has a factory console in excellent shape with a very
rare clock. Steering wheel looks new. Overhead the headliner is new
and fits tight, new matching visors. The rear mesh speaker tray has
been replaced. Just looking around inside this car everything looks
nice and clean, nothing's beat up or abused. The pedals, brake
release handle, seatbelts are all really very nice.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Very clean and tidy. It has 400 small block
motor that's been rebuilt. Aluminum intake has been painted orange,
has an Edelbrock carb with electric choke. Decorated with a set of
Z-28 aluminum finned valve covers. The brake booster and master
have been replaced. It also features power steering and factory air
conditioning. Everything is painted, clean and looks like it's in
it's proper place. Has spark plugs shields, original exhaust
manifolds. Bottom side of the hood is painted red, has
insulation.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It's really clean metal in here. The owner said
over the course on a month he refinished inside the trunk. Has a
very nice coat of grey and white spatter paint. It has a rally
wheel spare with a brand new tire and it has the jack assembly.
Bottom of the trunk lid and the jamb are painted slick. Has new
weatherstrip. Driver's quarter panel is original, passenger side
was replaced with a full panel.
UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame, new bushings. The front end
looks like it's rebuilt and detailed. New GM front disc brakes.
Bottom of the motor is spotless, has new starter. The Muncie
4-speed is also spotless. New Hurst linkage. Totally rebuilt 12
bolt rear end with Strange parts. Has 3.32 posi and a chrome cover.
New brakes, e-brake assembly, lines and hoses. New fuel tank and
sending unit. New shocks. Floors are all metal, painted satin
black. New dual exhaust system with crossover pipe.
This highly optioned Camaro will make it's new owner proud. 4-speed
and a/c is rare in any car. It has alot to offer!
