Vehicle Description
This 1978 Ford F150 Ranger Short-Box 4x4 Pickup is a sight to
behold. A beautifully restored truck that, according to the
previous owner, had only 42,000 original miles when it was
restored. The truck now has only 45,000 miles so it has only been
driven around 3000 miles in the summers and always stored in a
climate controlled space. This truck is exceptionally nice and
extra clean everywhere you look. It came out of Virginia as a Rust
Free Truck. No disappointments with this Short Box!! The body on
this F150 is straight and clean. All of the metal appears to be
original with no signs of rust or patches anywhere. The paint was
professionally applied and looks fantastic!! It was painted in its
original colors of candy Apple red and Wimbledon White. A great
combination!!! The interior was also restored and looks
excellent!!! Everything works on this truck and it is truly a
turn-key rig!!
This truck is a very cool and rare find. Not only is it a
Short-Box, but it is also a factory 400M V8. Most of these trucks
came with the 351M V8. The engine runs perfectly and has great
power. It appears to be stock with no modifications and it looks
like new under the hood. Transmission is the C6 Automatic that
shifts smooth and it is mated to the NP203 Transfer Case. Dana 44
Front Axle and Ford 9' Rear End. They added Dual Exhaust which
sounds great. This truck runs and drives so nice and is nice enough
to take to car shows.
