2007 Ford Mustang GT
The Mustang created the "pony car" class of American cars,
distinguished as affordable sporty coupes with long hoods and short
rear decks, and gave rise to competitors such as the Chevrolet
Camaro, Pontiac Firebird, AMC Javelin, Chrysler's revamped Plymouth
Barracuda, and the second-generation Dodge Challenger. The Mustang
is also credited for inspiring the designs of coup�s such as the
Toyota Celica and Ford Capri, which were imported to the United
States. As of August 2018, over 10 million Mustangs have been
produced in the U.S.
For Consignment, a GT version of the Mustang. This car has added
Mach 1 graphics although Mach I production was 1969 thru 1978 and
then returned for the 2003 & 2004 model years. This is an S197
Chassis GT, and in very nice, low mileage (23,915 actual)
condition.
Exterior
Tungsten gray with black decal stripes and a black rear and front
spoilers come together to create the menacing look for this muscle
car. Styling cues can be seen from way back in 1965 with its grille
shape, and rear taillight configuration. A nice hood scoop fronts
backed out trim around beautiful glass. Blackened and matte sprayed
side view mirrors, some minimalistic but clean badging, and 18"
factory polished wheels wrapped with Goodyear Eagles, completes the
look.
Interior
Light Graphite leather and vinyl come together to make up the
upholstery for the front buckets and rear 2+2 seats. The driver's
bucket is powered, as are the windows and locks. A very simple dash
houses another cue from 65, in the form of the dual circular
imbedded instruments behind the steering wheel, although the 65
version utilized a horizontal speedometer. An AM/FM/CD player, A/C,
traction control. A T style automatic shifter sits in a center
console that makes its way past the buckets to the rear 2+2's. Nice
Gray Carpet has black floor mats with GT white embroidered logos,
which protect the gray carpet.
Drivetrain
A 4.6 Liter, 3 Valve, V8 with EFI, attached to a 5R55S 4-speed
automatic transmission, puts power rearward to an 8.8" 3.31 Geared
rear. All clean and green under this hood!
Undercarriage
Typifying a 23,900 mile car, no rust, all functioning independent
front, 4-link rear suspension, and power disc brakes all
around.
