Vehicle Description
Cruisin Classics would like to offer a 1966 Chevelle SS with the
correct 138 Vin. Finished in very slick Glossy Silver paint,
correct SS hood, badging and very nice bright work. Sitting on
color coordinated steel wheels with correct center caps and wrapped
in Red Line Silvertown tires. Beautiful black bucket seat interior
with center console, full complement of factory gauges including
knee knocker tach. Powered by a 396ci engine, casting #3855961 with
a casting date of 9/29/65. Fueled by a Deman Carburetor sitting on
an aluminum intake manifold, cast heads, blaster coil and ignition
by MSD including new MSD distributor. 2 dual exhaust with H-Pipe
and Flowmaster mufflers. 4-speed Muncie manual transmission,
casting #3851325 with a build date of 4/28. Cruisin Classics
Performance Center just had the flywheel turned and installed a new
Mcleod clutch, pressure plate and new throw out bearing. The rear
end is an open 12 bolt with a KD suffix code and a 3:73 gear. This
rear end combination makes this Chevelle very freeway friendly
while still having plenty of around town get up and go. The braking
system consists of power Disc on the front and drum on rear with an
electric vacuum pump. The tires are BFG Redline Silvertown, fronts
are 215/70-15 and the rears are 225/70-15 wrapped on steel wheels
with center caps. This Chevelle not only shows extremely well but
runs and drives flawlessly also. The engine is very strong with
just enough cam to give it a nice lope while remaining very driver
friendly and the electric vacuum pump assures no brake issues. The
sound of this big block engine through the Flowmaster dual exhaust
is absolutely awesome. This is the kind of car that you really hate
to get to your destination and the drive comes to an end. There are
a lot of 1966 Chevelle SS out there for sale.they are not all of
the same caliber, you owe it to yourself to view this one if your
