For Sale: 1974 Cadillac Eldorado in Old Bethpage, New York

Vehicle Description

1974 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible / Original 500ci engine
An Original Unrestored 54000 SURVIVOR in Excellent Condition

You are looking at a beautiful example of one of Americas premier luxury cars.  The Cadillac Eldorado Convertible.  Only 7600 Eldorado Convertibles were made in '74 at a cost reaching and exceeding $10,000. Serious money and unobtainable to most in 1974.

This very special Eldorado clearly separates itself from other Eldorados in its class in several ways.  First, this Eldorado was ordered with a very rare color combination.  The Cotillion White exterior is somewhat uncommon but when you combine that to a matching color interior, "only a limited few exist.  When they do exist, "Blue" accents and blue pin striping as in this one, are extremely rare.  Most are Red.  A second factor that makes this car special is its history.  This Eldorado is a true 54000 mile 100% unrestored SURVIVOR!! To add to that, it happens to be in excellent condition.  To say the least, it is absolutely beautiful.

The paint is original and in excellent condition.  The shine is brilliant!  There have been a few touch-ups by the original owner in an attempt to cover up a scratch or two but they are only noticeable upon close inspection.  The finish is smooth and all panels are original, never damaged and perfectly straight.  Chrome and trim are like new.  No pitting of any kind.  Simply Incredible for a completely unrestored classic of this age.  Overall, the body and appearance of this car is stunning.

As far as optional equipment and features on this Eldorado, there is nothing missing.  Most Eldorados of the day are heavily optioned to begin with and so they should be based on their price.  This Eldorado has a few extras that some did not have.  Optional equipment on this car include the digital turn signals on the top of both front fenders, and the rear brake light sensors, seen when looking into the rear view mirror.  They assure the driver that all rear lights including the brake lights are in working order.
Other features include the hard cover body colored Parade Boot, the original glass window power convertible top in Excellent condition and in perfect working order.
The original AM-FM 4 speaker stereo with working 8-Track Player & power antenna.  Power windows, power door locks, glove box trunk release, Climate Control Air Conditioning, tilt & telescopic steering wheel, Cruise Control, 8-way power 60/40 bench seats, 3 speed washer wipers, an outside thermometer visible from the drivers side mirror (as shown), dual outside mirror controls and more.

The white leather interior is in excellent condition.  There are no seat tares and no dash cracks whatsoever. There are two cracks on drivers side armrest as shown. The Dash face is immaculate.  All gauges are perfectly clear and work as intended.  The interior wood grain is perfect everywhere.  This Southern based car has been meticulously taken care of and maintained throughout its life and it shows.

The 500ci engine was and still is, the largest engine ever made for a mass produced American car.  It was standard equipment on the Eldorado in 1974.  This front wheel drive beauty drives flawlessly.  On the road, she is smooth and steady as you would expect from any big Caddy of this era.  The car starts in an instant and there is plenty of power to get her moving.  Power disc brakes makes stopping easy.  The 1.5 inch whitewall tires are nearly new and retain the same incredible look as they did in 1974.

The undercarriage is super clean and rust free.  Overall, this car is incredible and although there are a few minor imperfections which you would expect from an untouched 45 year old car, it is far better than most of them out there including those  that have undergone repaints, interior repairs and other modifications that have changed the originality of the car itself.  Dont let this one get away.  This is a very hard to find unrestored Eldorado in excellent original condition.  Any classic car collector can tell you that the highest valued classics are the unrestored SURVIVORs over any other class of vehicle... Like this one!!!
