It is very rare indeed when you can find a 1970 American Motors AMX
390 that has been restored to this level for sale anywhere in the
country. We have one at Skyway Classics.
Mechanical
Our AMX has seen a frame off restoration on a rust free frame and
body. It has the original 390 cubic inch engine that features a ram
air hood feeding air to the open air cleaner, Power Steering, Power
Brakes, Air Conditioning, chrome valve covers, factory intake,
carb, and exhaust all sitting in a restored, clean, and factory
correct engine compartment. It is hooked to a 3-speed automatic
which puts the power to the ground via the factory rear end as it
rides on very rare and valuable Factory machined Wheels and B.F.
Goodrich Radial TA tires.
Interior
Our 390 has a near perfect black bucket seat interior with factory
correct dash, gauges,
Wood grain on the dash and the console, 3 performance gauges in the
map compartment, black carpet, radio, and all other
appointments.
Exterior
The perfect body with the 2-tone yellow and black paint scheme
looks very aggressive and has great body lines. This AMX was bought
from the original owner and is thought to never has been ought in
bad weather. Even the trunk has the look of being brand new and has
the rare space saver tire and wheel too.
