Vehicle Description
1984 BUICK RIVIERA
All the way back in 1949 Buick started using Riviera as a hardtop
trim level but 1963 Riviera finally became a model all its own.
With its inception Buick finally threw its hat in the ring of high
end prestige luxury vehicles. The Riviera was well received and
production continued all the way until 1999. These were Buick's
luxury car with the original concept inspired by Rolls Royce but
with a more edgy styling. With Cadillac not showing much interest
in adding it to their fleet Buick had their opportunity and dove
in. 6 generations later and we have the 1984 Buick Riviera you see
here. The car has the complete 80s luxury look with its long low
stance and prominent tall grill. It is factory from front to rear
down to the factory painted pinstripe. It is painted in a nice
Black paint paired with the Black landau top. This was an era where
chrome was still regularly used on vehicles and all of the chrome
and trim on this thing looks great with zero pitting. It has the
dual double headlights and the Riviera logo taillights which all
work properly. The car looks great rolling down the road and the
wire wheels with thin white walls are the perfect thing for this
car to be rolling on.
The 5.0 V8 motor runs extremely well and very smooth. It starts
right up every time and is a very nice car to drive. It is reliable
and has been one of the cars you can just hop in and go. It just
glides down the road. It just received a full service with all new
fluids as well as some small repairs including all new front/rear
shocks, fixing a transmission gasket and a new battery. Basically
it was all looked over and if it mechanically needed something, it
got it. It has an automatic transmission that shifts nice and
smooth with no problems. Being a luxury car it is packed with all
the top of the line features of its age including all power
options.
The interior of the car is really in excellent shape and has been
clearly well maintained. It is done in a light Beige cloth with
Beige carpeting. It has bucket seats up front and a bench in rear
with shared armrest. If there was any doubt that this was Buicks
luxury vehicle just take a look at the dash. It features wood grain
accents throughout which are in good condition. The trunk is nicely
carpeted and houses the spare as well as the jack and tools.
If you are in the market for a cool classic that won't break the
bank this is one to check out. These 80s cars are becoming more and
more popular the older they get.
